Too late for a bursary application at the South African Institute for Race Relations (SAIRR)- great work they're doing- think tank that is much needed to unravel some of the complexities afflicting us as South Africans.
So with the lil' brown spot visible on the thumbnail, voting is in hibernation until the contestation at Local government level heats up. In fact, much of this years general elections campaigns were in part geared to consolidating support at this level. We will have to wait and see whether gains were made.
At this point, the premier in waiting in the EC is a done deal. Though Helen-Saul's August would have been a calculated move for the party in the driving seat. An opportunity lost, I'd say.
Read Zille's comments regarding amongst other Lindiwe Mazibuko, Van Onselen, Pascoe and others. As Mbeki said, the convergence of the aggrieved? Advice for Helen: Heed Tony's call as in yesterday.
During some turmoil in my career, I've posted this for all to see. I have since retracted some comments I made, but I still re-visit them intermittently. Maybe as a reminder that as things unfold, I will live to seize the day...

Guess who's back
Hi All
Thursday, 15 May 2014. Another attempt at blogging. The perpetual rat race out there/in here makes it cumbersome to succumb to the desire to let the fingers do the talking... finding its way into the electrodes of memory. As a way of making sense of all this matter surrounding me and you.
Hence, from time to time I will re-visit these pages and let you know what I think I know.
For now- a few lines should suffice.
